Eleanor E. (Gallagher) Bishop

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Tuesday evening, December 13, 2016 at 7 PM in the Burns Funeral Home, Billerica, for Eleanor E. (Gallagher) Bishop.

Mrs. Bishop, a daughter of the late John J. and Lillian (Sweeney) Gallagher passed away in the Palm Skilled Nursing Center, Chelmsford on Tuesday evening , December 8^th surrounded by her loving family after a period of declining health.  She was 97.

Born in Boston, MA, she graduated from Brighton High School, class of 1937.  Eleanor worked as a switchboard operator for Metcalf & Eddy Engineering  Company, Boston.  Eleanor was also a great cook and loved to sew.  Her greatest love was being with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.

She is the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Bishop.  Loving mother of Paul Bishop, and Gary Bishop and his wife Susan.  Sister of Genevieve Gallagher, Patricia Damigella, Margaret Burley, Mariyn Moore, and her late siblings Roseanne Roskey, Dorothy Murphy, Frank Gallagher, and Paul Gallagher.  She is survived by her beloved grandchildren Mark, Kirk, Kristen, Michelle, Kenneth, Kimberly, and Nicole as well as many great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday Night at 7 PM in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Post Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica. 

A visitation hour will be held from 6-7 PM prior to the service. Relatives & friends kindly invited.
