A Funeral Mass for James C. “Jace” Dunn will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 am in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

 

Mr. Dunn, a son of the late Thomas F. Dunn Sr. & Mary E. (Dargan) Dunn, passed away on Sunday June 11th, 2017 in the Maristhill Nursing & Rehab Center.  James was 85.

 

Jimmy was born and raised in Brighton, MA. James was class of Brighton High School 1950. While at Brighton High School, Jace was the captain of the Brighton High football team. After high school, James played semi-professional football for the Brighton Knights. He was a longtime employee of New England Telephone Company working there from 1954 up until his retirement in 1987.  James was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Division 14 for 40 years.

 

He was the beloved husband of Mary P. “Rusty” (O’Connor) Dunn.  Devoted father of Maureen J. Terry & Karen P. Dunn both of Watertown. Dear brother of the late Thomas F. Jr., Francis, Robert J., John E., Dorothy C., Eleanor M. Hackett, Lorraine F. Kubillis, & Virginia M. Oates. Loving grandfather of Laura & Daniel Terry. Caring uncle to 26 nieces & nephews and many grandnieces & grandnephews.

 

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Thursday June 15th, at 8:00 AM, followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

 

Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM.

 

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
