Jean M. (Delleville) Sutherland

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in St. Patrick Church, Watertown at 9 am for Jean M. (Delleville) Sutherland.

Mrs. Sutherland, a daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Kelly) Delleville was born in Watertown, MA. She passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 24, 2016.  She was 82.

Jean was the wife of the late George E. Sutherland, Jr. who passed away on January 9th of 2016.  Jean & George were married on September 18th of 1955 and lived happily married together for 60 years.

As a young woman Jean devoted her life to her husband and children. She was always active in her children’s activities and always put family first. She was an active member of the Watertown Football gridiron club.

She was the beloved wife of the late George E. Sutherland. Devoted mother of Eugene & his wife Catherine of Burlington, Linda Noone & her husband Michael of Londonderry NH, Patricia Sampson & her husband Steven of Watertown, Scott & his wife Michele of Chelmsford, and Wayne and his wife Linda of Watertown. Loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Loving sister of the late Nancy Saraceno & Robert Delleville.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 8 AM, followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM.  

Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
