I am just finding out that Joan has passed. I met her at Salem State College where we both majored in Geography and then went on to Heritage Travel to do our internship. We were both hired to work at Heritage and enjoyed working and travelling together. The both of us travelled to England and Scotland and had a wonderful time. We also travelled to Maui with other friends from Heritage. She was always smiling and had a wonderful laugh. I had been trying to reconnect with her after all these years and was so sad to find that she had passed. My condolences go out to all her family and friends. Joan , I remember fond memories of you driving on the wrong side of the road on the wrong side of the car in England and Scotland and you did a great job!! Our first meal in London was at McDonald's. We saw Stonehenge together, Shakespeare's birthplace, the White Cliffs of Dover that we drove by and couldn't see anything because it was so foggy, a glass bottom boat ride in Maui and a fun luau. You attended my and my husband's wedding. So many wonderful memories!! Rest in Peace dear friend. You are missed. Hugs!!

For many years, the best part of my work day was 1130 lunches with my friend Joan. We'd do a bit of complaining about the state of the travel industry then always go on to the more serious business of discussing anything and everything else..especially sports. We could seriously talk some sports! Fun times, happy times, good memories. Nothing is ever forgotten. Dear Joanie, you are always in my heart! To all of you, her precious family, please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless and keep all of you in his care during this sad time..

Please accept my condolences for Joan's passing. I worked with Joan for many years and had the pleasure of getting to know her. On occasion a group of us would go out to dinner, most recently in March. Joan was so knowledgeable on so many subjects! She was latterly a wealth of information. She was such a hard worker and the clients loved her, she always went above and beyond to assist. I will miss our conversations and her laughter as she could always find the humor in a situation. Rest in peace Joan, heaven has gained another angel.
