Joan Rita McCurley

Joan  McCurley, 60, of Marlboro, formerly of Watertown, passed away at her home on Friday June 10, 2017.  She was the beloved sister of Paul McCurley and his wife Diane of Marlboro, Clare McCurley Lash and her husband Peter of Westford, Anne Colorusso and her husband Ralph of Reading and Marian McCurley Enos and her husband Ed of Westford.  Joan was predeceased by her cousin Paul Broussard and her niece Katie Enos.  She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rita (MacLellan) McCurley.  Joan was the devoted aunt of Beth, Amy and Ed McCurley, Chris Colorusso and Max Enos.  She also leaves many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Joan was a dedicated corporate travel agent for 35 years with different corporations ending with American Express Travel.  She graduated from St. Patrick’s H. S. and Salem State College with a degree in geography. Joan was a generous supporter of numerous causes. Anyone who knew Joanie knew she took great joy in the simple things in life: traveling the world, cooking fine food, uncontrollable laughter, scratching a dog behind the ear and a good cry at the movies.A visitation will be held Monday June 19, from 5-8 PM at the  MacDonald -Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on 270 Main St. in Watertown.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Patrick’s Church  212 Main St. Watertown on Tuesday June 20 at 9:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the “Katie Enos Scholarship Fund” at the Middlesex Savings Bank at 160 Littleton Rd. Westford MA 01886.
