Joanne Marie Marchant

Joanne Marchant passed away quietly at The Golden Living Center in Melrose, on March 17th, 2017 under the very good care of Compassionate Care Hospice. Joanne was ill for some time but was always smiling and keeping up with family news.

Joanne was the loving daughter of the late Raymond R. & Grace C. (Healey) Marchant. She was loved by her 3 brothers, Raymond R. Jr. and his wife Carol, of Lebanon ME, Thomas F. of Sherman, ME, and John E. and his wife, Deborah of Williamsville, NY. Joanne had many nephews and nieces.

Born in Watertown Joanne attended the Watertown Schools and later worked as an assembly worker for the Gainsboro Co. in Waltham. Joanne later moved to Waltham and lived with two good friends under the care of the Edinburg Center.

Joanne loved all animals, but was mostly fond of cats. Joanne also loved to keep tabs on the happenings of all her nephews and nieces. She would always ask how they were doing and knew all of their ages, what year they were in school and what their favorite interests were.  Joanne was blessed with a very good memory and enjoyed the reminiscing of fond family events of the past. Joanne was loved by all.

Joanne will be cremated and services will be set for a later date yet to be determined.
