John F. (Jack) Reagan, 95, long time resident of Watertown, MA, died peacefully at home on July 24, 2017, in Ocean Grove, NJ.

Born in Cambridge, MA, Jack attended St Peter's Grammar School and Cambridge Latin H.S., where, although only 5' 2",  he was a gifted athlete and excelled in both Baseball and Hockey. Jack was a WWII Navy Veteran, having served  as a Radioman First Class in the European Theatre. After 6 years in the Navy, he attended Boston University on the GI Bill, earning both BA and M.Ed. degrees.  Shortly before marrying in 1948, both of Jack's parents died. In order to keep the family together, he brought his brother and two sisters into his own young family, which, in time, grew to include 4 additional children. Jack worked very hard to support his family, teaching math in the Cambridge Public Schools (both the Haggerty and Agassiz schools), while working nights at the US Post Office in South Boston. He coached for several years in the Watertown Little League system and was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Jack enjoyed watching the Red Sox, smoking cigars, eating ham sandwiches, playing golf, and telling corny jokes. Smart, good-natured, funny and extremely generous to his family, he will be dearly missed and ever remembered.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald Reagan (Diane Lambert) of Acton and  John P. Reagan (Marc Tobias) of Ocean Grove, NJ; a daughter, Edie Reagan (Christian Nielsen) of Ithaca, NY; a brother, Leo Doyle (Carole) of Derry, NH; and a sister, Claire McGinnis of Lake Oswego, OR. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Amy L. Reagan (Hunt); by a son, Michael Reagan; and a sister, Carol Wiles.

The family will be holding a private graveside service.
