A Funeral Mass for Joseph L. Santoro will be celebrated on Friday January 12, 2018 in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, Waltham at 10 AM.

Joseph L Santoro of Doylestown, Pennsylvania was a native of Massachusetts and at one time a New Yorker.  After retiring from the fashion industry, Joe settled into the life of a country gentleman in beautiful Bucks County, PA.  He joined the Riverside Symphonia and volunteered with the Riverside League as a fundraiser.  He served for seven years on the Symphonia Board, the last two as Board Chair, and continued to serve as Chair Emeritus.

Joe's commitment to the arts went well beyond the Riverside Symphonia. He was a member of the Bucks County Opera Association, The Art Committee of Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, the Delaware Valley Music Association, Phillips' Mill and the Carversville Historic Society.

Over the years, Riverside audiences became familiar with Joe's mellow speaking voice as he introduced many of their programs.  However, Joe was better known for raising his bass voice in song as a member of several choral groups, including St. Martin of Tours Church in New Hope, the Ecumenical Choir of Doylestown Presbyterian Church and the Choristers Choir of Lansdale.

Joe was an amazing and inspirational person in so many ways, especially in all the ways he showed his unconditional, unselfish, abundant love of family and friends.  He will be missed by so many.

Joe, a son of the late Rose (Corazzini) Tolleson and her husband Lewis, and the late Emidio Santoro and his wife Emma.  Also precedence by his brother Edward. He leaves behind his sisters Mary Quill and her husband Ray, Janice Barry and her husband George, his sister-in-law Marie Santoro, his brother John Tolleson and his partner Ernest Whitfield, and his brother Stephen Santoro and his wife Judith, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends in PA.
