Jones, Lauress M. “Larry”, Jr. 86, of Watertown, passed peacefully on December 2, 2017, surrounded by family.  Born May 13, 1931 in Arlington MA to the late Eileen (Kelly) and Lauress M. Jones, Sr. Dear Brother of the late John & Robert Jones.  US Navy Veteran, served during the Korean Conflict.

He was devoted and dedicated to his family, friends and his work. He worked into his early eightes as a driver for Inman Pharmacy. He was the owner and operator of Taylor a taxi service for several years in Massachusettes. He enjoyed traveling the east coast, golf, watching television for he was an avid sports fan of the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox.

 

He became a grandfather for the first time in 1981 and a great grandfather in 2013. His oldest grandchild is Tara Bunch, Melissa Balducci, Andrew Kowalec, Tony Altieri, twins Chris and Nick Altieri, Kaitlyn Graboski, Matt Graboski, Maxwell Jones, Nicole Graboski, Zachary Jones, Jacob Jones and greatgrandson Levi Altieri .

 

Devoted father of Michael Jones & his late wife Heidi of ME, Debbie Jones & her fiancé Grant Robinson of CA, Linda Kowalec & her husband Joe of CT, David Jones & his wife Melissa of NH and Laurie Graboski & her husband Steve of CT.  Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  Beloved friend of Mimi O’Hara of Watertown.  He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

 

A Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown will be celebrated on Monday, December 11th at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours in MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
