Mary Rose (Ambrose) Saia

Saia, Mary Rose (Ambrose) of Watertown, age 90, passed away on January 18th, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Albert Leo Saia. Loving mother of Diane S. Hergenrother-Schecter & her husband Steve of Port Washington, NY and Karen M. Damgaard & her husband Scott of Waltham. Loving grandmother to Max Hergenrother & his wife Jeanean, Brian Clark & his wife Kate, and Albert Clark. Doting great-grandmother of Grant & Kole Hergenrother. She also leaves her late brothers and sisters, Anna Castellana, Lucy Schiavoni, Yolanda Brooks, Samuel Ambrose, Bruno Ambrose, Joseph Ambrose and Frank Ambrose.

Mrs. Saia was born in Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School, class of 1944. When she was not caring for her two daughters, she love to garden, crochet and cook. Mary was also a loving grandmother and great grandmother, 

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Monday Jan. 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM, followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM.

Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown, MA.
