Obituary  Send Flowers  Condolences  Photographs

Theodore A. Noke of Framingham, MA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 10th, 2010, just days before his 87th birthday.
Born in Watertown, MA., Ted was the son of Albanian immigrants Sotir Costa Noke and Alexandra (Churchy) Noke.
An avid poet and thinker, Ted owned and operated Mount Auburn Press on School Street for many years. A former military intelligence officer and school principal, Ted enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, talking politics and spending time with grandchildren.
Predeceased by a sister Elizabeth (Betty) Noke Burstein and two younger siblings in childhood, Ted is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Marshall), children Hillary (Noke) and her husband Jeffrey Temple of Rutland, Vermont, Gary Noke and his wife Catherine of Southboro, MA., grandchildren Justin and Chelsea Temple, Jessie, Mathew and Henry Noke, a sister-in-law and six nieces and their families.
The family will have a private ceremony followed by burial in the V.A. National Cemetery Bourne, MA in the spring. In honor of Theodore's life the family requests that you please thank a member of our armed forces for their service to our country.
A poem Ted left us with reminds us to cherish the lives of our loved ones...

Memories
The books are fast closing.
Their stories meandering to wizened conclusions.
Of that have no illusions.
But hear me out,
Because without a doubt...
Lives are not just tales to tell,
But interludes of time
Heavy and light...Day and night.
Wondrous one minute, comforting another.
And always a new page to turn
Day to day...time to time.
Books of memories to be written and told
And retold till all be old.
Memories enduring like gold
Forever.
