A Funeral Service for Archibald F. “Archie” Mills, 83, will be held on Monday March 9, 2010, at 11 AM in the Saint John’s United Methodist Church, 80 Mount Auburn Street Watertown.

Mr. Mills, a son of the late Frank & Margaret (Bell) Mills, was born in Watertown, MA on July 23, 1926. Mr. Millis was raised in Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School, Class of 1944. He attended Burdette College in Boston. He then enlisted in the US Army and served in the South Pacific, before being discharged with the rank of 1st Sergeant. In 1948 he married Mabel Price, and in 1957 moved to Waltham, where he & Mabel lived & raised three children.

Mr. Mills was a member of the Saint John’s United Methodist Men’s Club and the Victory Lodge AF & AM of Watertown. He also was an avid home gardener, and trips to Newfoundland.

He was the beloved husband for 61 years to Mabel (Price). Devoted father of David T. & his wife Judith A. of Scituate, Barbara A. of Watertown and Donald W. & his wife Holly of Woonsocket, RI. Loving grandfather of Brian D. & his wife Amy of Decatur, GA and Adam D. & his wife Natalia of Sarasota, FL. Loving brother of Gerald of Watertown & Florence of Waltham, and the late Lawrence Mills.

A Funeral Service will be held in the St. John’s United Methodist Church 80 Mt Auburn St. Watertown on Monday at 11AM. Relatives & friends kindly invited. Visiting hours in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown on Sunday 3-7 PM.
