A Funeral Mass for Thomas Grafton Wood, 77, will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, in the Church of Saint Luke, Belmont.

Mr. Wood, a son of the late Grafton A. and Margaret E. (Flanagan) Wood, was born in Cambridge. He grew up and was educated in Winthrop, graduated from Boston Latin High School and furthered his education by attending Norwich University in Vermont. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. For 25 years, he was employed by A.T. & T. at the Western Electric Division in Watertown retiring when the plant closed in the 1990s. He later went to work for MASCO at Fenway Park which was a dream come true, as he was a great fan of the Boston Red Sox.

He also enjoyed following the Celtics and the New England Patriots; and, a number of years ago, when his children were little, coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. Mr. Wood, a Watertown resident for the past 40 years, died at his residence on Saturday, December 12, 2009, after a long illness.

He was the beloved husband for 51 years of Patricia A. (Taylor) Wood; devoted father of Thomas G. Wood, Jr. of Sudbury, Priscilla A. Reardon of Norwood, Michael C. Wood of Stowe, Vt., and Melissa E. Caloiero of Sudbury; loving grandfather of Ryan Wood, Courtney Wood, Erin Wood, Allison Reardon, Kathleen Reardon, Bridget Reardon, Michael Wood, Jr., Amanda Wood, Kaitlyn Caloiero, Kristin Caloiero and Joseph Caloiero.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 o'clock in the Church of Saint Luke, 132 Lexington St., Belmont. Interment will be in the Winthrop Cemetery, Winthrop.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, December 15th from 4-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.
