A Funeral service for Barbara H. (Ham) Webber will be held in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Saturday May 18th, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
Barbara was the loving daughter of the late William M. Ham, Sr. & Sheldon (Lord) Ham. She passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer the evening of Friday April 12th with Leta by her side. Barbara was 78.
Barbara was born and raised in Schenectady, New York. She had a passion for music and singing, she was involved in Women’s singing groups in and around Newton. Barbara was also strongly involved lesbian civil & political rights organizations, as a member of daughters of Bilitis and OLE she always fought for what was right. In her spare time Barbara had a zest for genealogy and was an active volunteer at the New England Historical Genealogical Society in Boston.
She was the loving partner of Leta Mae Georgiopoulos. Dear sister of the late William Ham, Jr. Beloved aunt of Jennifer Czmut & her late husband Derek & their 3 daughters Amanda, Emily, & Sarah all of Mason, NH. Also survived by Leta’s daughter Anna Georgiopoulos & her husband Michael Manzella & their 2 daughters Elena & Sophia all of Newton.
A visitation period will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St. Watertown on Saturday May 18, 2019 from 11 AM to 1:00 PM. Followed by a funeral service at 1 PM. Relatives & friends kindly invited.
