Denise Stinehart

Denise Stinehart of Mashpee, formerly of Watertown, peacefully passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on May 28, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. She was born to the late Elmer I. Stinehart and Elizabeth R. (Linehan) Stinehart of Watertown on September 27, 1952.  Denise is survived by her five children, Marc Watson and wife Jane of Hanover; Heather Watson of Cape Cod; Conor Watson and wife Stephanie of Duxbury; Casey (Watson) Cushing and husband Jack of Rockland; and Craig Watson and wife Brianna of Weymouth. Her ten loving grandchildren, Ella, Jack, Abby, Justin, Cj, Phoebe, Blake,Everett, Ava and Charlie.  Sister of Maureen V. Marx, Ellen M. Wright, Kathleen Saroufim (twin) , Charles M. Stinehart, John D. Stinehart, Kurt Stinehart, Karl J. Stinehart, & Marie Brainard. Beloved Aunt Sister Eileen Linehan, O.P. and Uncle Father Maurice Linehan, M. S. as well as many more relatives. Also former husband, Robert W. Watson of Yarmouth.

Denise attended Youville School of Nursing and received her degree in 1974. She was a devoted LPN for 43 years. Anyone who knew “Dinny” knew how hard working and punctual she was. She dedicated her life to helping others and yet, rarely accepted any help for herself. Her fortitude and determination helped raise her five children. Denise beamed with pride when speaking of them as well as her ten grandchildren and the one on the way. Denise had a love of music and was always pointing that wonky finger to the beat. An avid lover of South Cape Beach, she spent many summers there with her children. She also loved her daytime tv and having dinners with her good friend Fran.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass for Denise on Thursday June 8, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Church. 212 Main St. Watertown at 9:00 AM. Immediately following the mass, burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
