Jean Krueger Obituary

Jean Marie Krueger was born in North Attleboro, MA to her parents Miriam (Nana) and John (Gubba) Lutz.  Jean grew up as a child in Milford and at 14, her father moved the family to Watertown where he took a job at the Arsenal.  After graduation, she began working in Boston as a Secretary where she was known for her fast, error free typing at John Hancock and American Express, to name just a few.   She loved taking the “T” bus into Boston to shop for the latest fashions and spend time with friends going to movies, restaurants and roller skating. Jean met Richard (Dick) Krueger from Wisconsin who was in the Navy on shore leave in Boston on one of her nights out roller-skating. They dated for some time, were soon married in Seabrook, NH, and lived in Charlestown with other Sailors and their wives. Once Dick returned from the service, they settled back into Watertown at her parent’s house and raised four boys: the late Richard and Robert along with Ronnie and Randy.

Jean and Dick were married over 60 years and spent numerous nights out from going to the Hillbilly Ranch, the Eagles club, sporting events (Patriots and Red Sox World Series in 75), Las Vegas, Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods (where she will be missed dearly), bowling or just playing card games. Jean had many stories to tell about all her exploits through the years and was known for her funny one-liners.

As time went on Jean and Dick devoted most of their time taking care of family. Having raised all boys, Jean cherished her daughter-in-laws, Anne, Diane and Lori. She helped raise all the grand kids (Dave, Jeff, Steven, Ritchie, Laura, Alex and Chris and was able to spend her recent days with great granddaughter Emma).  Jean and Dick loved cheering them on at sporting events and sharing special moments at dance recitals, graduations, birthday parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Jean had a vibrant personality and the ability to make everyone feel welcome. She will be missed by all and now be able to join Dick, her soul mate and true love in Heaven.

Jean is the beloved wife of the late Richard L. Krueger.  Devoted mother of Ronald J. & his wife Diane of Waltham, Randy & his wife Lori of Marlboro and the late Richard J. & his surviving wife Anne of Watertown, and the mother of the late Robert J. Loving grandmother of Richie, Laura, David, Jeffrey, Steven, Alex and Christopher and great grandmother of Emma Krueger. Sister in-laws Sally Krueger of Jamesville, WI and Penny Lundgren of Edgerton, WI.  Also loved by many nieces & nephews
