Joan F. (Connors) Coppola

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday November 16th, 2017 in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington St, Newton at 10:30 AM for Joan F. Coppola.

Born in Waltham, Joan was the daughter of the late John F. Connors and Pearl M. (McFayden) Connors.  She passed away Saturday morning in Newton after a period of declining health. Joan was 76.

She was the beloved wife of Mario Coppola. Mario and Joan were married on November 26, 1960 in St. Charles Church in Waltham. The two of them were happily married for 56 years.

Joan had a passion for giving to charities, shopping, and York Beach, Maine. But her biggest passion in life was her family. Being a great wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin meant the world to Joan.

She was the loving wife of the late Mario Coppola. Loving mother of Rosemarie Hogan & her husband Matt of Newton, John & his wife Claire of Forestdale, Mark & his wife Laura of FL, Nancy Dicker & her husband Tom of Watertown, and Brenda Fitzpatrick & her husband Scott of Canton.  Dear sister of William D. Connors of Florida, Jack F. Connors of Leominster, Barbara J. Rossi of Waltham, Julia A. Richard of Newton, Joseph W. Connors of New Hampshire, and the late Robert A. & Michael P. Connors. Doting grandmother of Angela, Kyle, Briana, Shauna, Lauren, Jeffrey, Tommy, Toria, and Jack Mario. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Thursday Nov. 16, 2017 at 9:30 AM, followed by Funeral Mass Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington St. Newton at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM.

Interment Newton Cemetery.
