Mary Rose (Cavallaro) Melisi

A Funeral Home Service will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown on Friday, April 13th, 2018 for Mary Rose (Cavallaro) Melisi at 12 noon.

Ms. Melisi is a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Valchius) Cavallaro passed away in her home on Sunday evening April 8, 2018 after a brief period of declining health.  Mary was 93.

Mary was born and grew up in Watertown, graduating from Watertown High School, class of 1942. She was a co-captain of the Watertown girl’s basketball team.  She married her husband George in 1946.  Mary and her husband George owned Butcher’s Pride Meats in Burlington MA. 

Mary is the beloved wife of the late George Melisi.  Devoted mother of George L. Melisi & his wife Carol of Billerica, Deborah A. Viscomi & her husband Bill of Hull and Kenneth J. Melisi & his partner Maggie Rockwell of Arlington. Dear sister of Jennie Iodice of Weston.  Loving grandmother of Ryan Melisi,  Jessie Dunn and her husband Thomas, and great grandmother of Camryn & Tommy Dunn.

Visiting hours in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St. Watertown on Friday April 13th, 2018 from 10 - 12:00 noon followed by a funeral service at 12 noon. Relatives & friends kindly invited.

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
