Merrill H. Palmer

PALMER, Merrill H., formerly of Watertown December 9, 2019. Age 94. Beloved husband of the late Myrtle R. (Young). Devoted father of Gail DerBoghosian and her husband Philip of Townsend, Bruce C. Palmer and the late Brian M. Palmer.  Loving grandfather of Nicole Newcombe, the late Jesse Newcombe and Jason Palmer. 

US Navy Veteran, WW II.

Retired pipefitter (foreman) at Harvard University.

A hard worker all of his life, Merrill loved working with his hands.  He was also an avid gardener who took great pride in his yard and garden.  He was a devoted husband and family man who adored his grandchildren. Merrill was a kind, gentle man who endured a lot of heartache in his life and persevered through it all. He will be sorely missed by the family and friends that were fortunate enough to have known him.

Graveside Services will be held at for Merrill at Ridgelawn Cemetery (the intersection Highland & Stuart Streets) Watertown on Friday Dec. 13, 2019 at 1 PM.
