Mrs. Pauline Theresa (Purcell) Hennrikus passed away in the early morning of Tuesday December 17 2019 in Watertown after a short illness. She was 92 years old.
Pauline was known for her kindness and compassion. She was born in 1927 to Katherine (McDermott) Purcell and John J Purcell. Raised in Newton Ma. a graduate of Newton High School, class of 1945, she made the honor roll every year. She married the late James E Hennrikus in 1950, they settled in Watertown and raised 6 children. She was a member of St. Patrick's parish and a fan of all of Boston’s sport teams. When she had time, she read newspapers from cover to cover and happily discussed all current events. A life long learner, loved Cape Cod and found happiness in her garden. She was an active member of the Watertown Senior Center where she enjoyed yoga, line dancing, trips to museums and sightseeing.
She was the loving wife the late James E. Hennrikus. Mother to James E. Hennrikus Jr., of Texas, Michael Hennrikus of Watertown, Kathleen M. Hennrikus of Watertown, Pauline E. Hennrikus of Watertown, the late Peter J. Hennrikus of Watertown, and the late Mark D. Hennrikus & his wife Carol C. Hennrikus of Clayton, North Carolina.
A visitation for Pauline will be held on Sunday December 22, 2019 from 12 to 3 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
