A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of St. Patrick – Watertown on Tuesday morning, September 4th, 2018 for Ruth M. (Ford) McCurley.

Mrs. McCurley is a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Helen (Quigley) Ford. Ruth passed away in her home surrounded by family on Wednesday evening after a period of declining health. She was 93 years of age.

Ruth was a lifelong resident of Watertown. She was a graduate of St. Patrick High School, class of 1942. On October of 1944 Ruth enlisted as a Wave in the United States Navy during World War II. She served with Headquarters Staff and was honorably discharged on August 23, 1946.

Following her time with the Navy, Ruth worked for the Town of Watertown in the Tax collection Office. She was a member of the Watertown Firefighters Wives Association. She also was a soloist at St. Patrick and Sacred Heart Parishes. Ruth also loved to bowl.

She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas D. McCurley (ret. Lieutenant WFD). Loving mother of Patricia Fanning & her husband Leo of Marlborough, Thomas D. McCurley, Jr. & his wife Susie of Watertown, Judith Femia & her husband David of Cumming GA, and Jeanne Arsenault & her husband Bruce of Waltham. Loving grandmother of Kristen Mucciacciaro, Matthew Fanning, Bianca Contreras, Brian, Daniel & Liam McCurley, Patrick & Casey Femia, Kaitlin & Kevin Arsenault. Dear sister of the late Joseph H. Ford, Jr. and Helen P. Ford. Caring great-grandmother of 8. Dear aunt to many nieces & nephews.

Funeral from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown on Tuesday Sept. 4th at 8:00 AM, followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM.

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
