Shirley (Hogan) Connolly

A Funeral Mass for Shirley (Hogan) Connolly will be celebrated ‪on Friday June 7, 2019 at 11:00 am, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

She was a daughter of the late John Joseph Hogan and Ida (Morgan) Hogan. Shirley passed away ‪Saturday afternoon at the age of 94.

Shirley was born in Cambridge, raised in Watertown, and was a graduate of Watertown High School. She was a parishioner in St. Patrick Parish and an active member of the Watertown community.  Shirley worked in Watertown Town Hall in both the Board of Health & Board of Assessors Offices until her retirement in 1989.  After retirement, Shirley wintered in Deerfield Beach, Florida.  In Deerfield Beach she was an active parishioner in St. Ambrose Parish.

Shirley was a proud member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 14, Watertown.  She served as past president of Div. 14 and past president of Middlesex County Hibernians.   

She was the wife of the late John P. “Jack” Connolly. Beloved mother of John Connolly Jr. & his wife Camille, Janice Connolly, Carol Stockdale & her husband Patrick all of Watertown, David Connolly and Paul Connolly & his wife Amy all of Waltham. Dear sister of John Hogan of FL & Ann Stevens of Watertown. Loving grandmother of Christine Bongiorno, Sean, Abigail, & Douglas Connolly, Dylan & Connor Stockdale and Mandy Hudson. Loving great-grandmother of Brendan, Caileigh, & Declan Connolly, Kyle Hudson, and Jake & Josh Bongiorno.

Funeral from the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown Friday June 7, 2019, at 10 AM followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 11 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 PM.

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
