Clark Tomassian Obituary

Tomassian, Clark Andrew, of Concord, NH, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, after a brief battle with Leukemia.

Clark was born to Martin V. Tomassian and Loretta Barbarick Tomassian, of Watertown, Massachusetts, where he grew up. He is survived by his children Christopher (Clare) Tomassian, Ashley Tomassian, and Leah (Michael) VanLerberg; brothers Martin V. Tomassian Jr., Matthew Tomassian, and Clifford Tomassian; his grandchildren Ryan, Catherine, Noah, Braden, and Daisy; and nieces and nephews Rebecca, Russell, Stavros, Clifford (CT), Martin, Carolyn, Julie, and Debbie.

Clark attended Watertown High School (1968) and went on to graduate from Suffolk University (1972) where he majored in business administration. After college, with Clark’s well-known drive and determination he began investing in his future. Over the years, Clark owned a restaurant, several donut shops, a laundromat, two general equipment and party rental businesses, and a car wash that he recently sold, and was considering another business when he became ill. With Clark’s keen business sense, each endeavor was more successful than the last.

He was a member of Kiwanis International (Belmont) and a member of the Pequossette Lodge (Watertown). He had a penchant for cars. His interests were in antique and high-performance vehicles resulting in buying and selling many vehicles over his lifetime. He was skilled at crafting furniture for his family and friends and leaves behind beautiful heirloom pieces crafted by his hands.

Clark acquired many close friendships in his lifetime. He was described as kind, compassionate, intelligent, witty, tenacious, driven, stubborn, and loyal. His infectious spirit, grit and chuckle will be greatly missed.

A funeral service for Clark will be held on Saturday May 13th at 11:00 AM in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, 270 Main St. Watertown. Followed by an interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Family and close friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks for donations to be made in his honor to Project SAVE, Armenian Photograph Archive, projectsave.org
