David A. Corbett

DAVID A. CORBETT (69) of Clinton, Massachusetts, formerly of Watertown and Marshfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, after a long illness. Dave was the beloved son of the late John F. and Bernadette Corbett of Watertown. He was a retired valued employee of Hutchinson Aerospace & Industry in Hopkinton. 

Dave was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Watertown and attended Newbury Junior College in Boston. But his knowledge ranged far beyond his formal schooling: He was a voracious reader – mostly science fiction and fantasy – and an avid consumer of news, which combined to make him a formidable opponent in nightly Jeopardy sessions. Dave enjoyed time with his family, especially at the beach in Marshfield. He cherished his nieces and nephews and was always interested in their latest news. He also imparted to them some of his skills at poker (a passion he honed as a young man, during a stint working in Vegas casinos).

Above all, Dave fiercely protected his independence - in both his life and his points of view. 

He is survived and will be much missed by his siblings Peter and Tobie (Atlas) of Waltham, Marybeth of Marshfield, Stephen and Lee of Watertown, Philip and Mary (Callahan) of New York City, and Timothy and Jesus (Alvarez-Piñera) of London; his nephews Noah, Eamon and John; his nieces Alisha, Bernadette, Stephanie and Una; and his grandniece and grandnephews Natalie, Henry and Max.
