Frances M. (Rooney) Fraser

Frances M. (Rooney) Fraser of Beverly, formerly of Belmont, entered into eternal life on January 11, 2023, age 103. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hurley) Rooney. Frances lived and raised her children in Belmont and for the last 27 years lived in Beverly. She was the wife of the late C. William Fraser; mother of David of Beverly and Kevin and his wife, Diane, of Winchester; sister of the late William Rooney of Waltham, aunt of Janice McClallen and her husband James of Waltham, Joanne Knight and her husband Jim and their children Jessica of Somerville, Ma. and Brian of South Boston whose visits over the years were eagerly anticipated and cherished; a nephew Steven of Michigan and his family; Sister-in-law of Viva Fraser and her family in Watertown, NY.  Frances was a beloved wife, daughter and sister, a devoted mother, loving aunt and loyal friend. Her gentleness, quiet elegance, and concern for those in need are virtues by which she will be remembered. Funeral services are private with internment at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ name may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter 347 Highland Avenue, Salem, MA 01970.
