Howard Lowre, Jr. Obituary

Howard "Howie" F. Lowre, a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on March 28, 1943, in Brighton, Massachusetts, Howie was the second oldest among his nine siblings, born to the late Howard Francis Lowre Sr. and Antoinette Derubis Lowre.

Howie served his country proudly in the Army before settling down with his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Joanne, in Newton, Massachusetts, where they raised their family. Throughout his life, Howie's warmth, infectious smile, and unwavering devotion to his family left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

A dedicated entrepreneur, Howie was the proud owner of Arlington Auto Body for over forty-five years. Despite his busy schedule, Howie always made time for what mattered most to him: his family, his faith, and his passion for the ocean. He found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones at his homes in Chatham and Turks and Caicos, where he embraced every moment surrounded by the people he cherished most.

Howie is survived by his loving wife, Joanne Lowre, his children Heather Macomber (Scott), Christopher Lowre (Marisa), and Katie Lowre Stahl (Brian), and his cherished grandchildren Madison, Hannah, Ryan, Olivia, Kellan, and Crosby. He is also survived by his siblings Sandra Nolan (late James), Robert Lowre (Julie), Carolyn Kemp (Edward), Roy Lowre (Joanne), Peter Lowre (Marie), Marcy Biggins (Edward), Mark Lowre (Debbie) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers David and Richard Lowre.

To know Howie was to love him, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
