Jean-Marie "John" Allain

A funeral service for Jean Marie “John” Allain of Wells Maine, will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3 PM in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown.

John was born in Boucteche, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Emile and Emilia (Cormier) Allain. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 4, 2025 in Kennebunkport Maine. He was 65.

John moved to Waltham with his mother, sisters and brother in 1963 where he attended the Waltham School system and graduated from Waltham High School.

After graduation, John embarked on a career as a cook and later as a machine operator.

John met his future wife Marie through mutual best friends in April 1998 and married in October, 1999. They settled in Watertown where they lived until they moved with their daughter Gabriella to Wells, Maine, in 2005.

John led and enjoyed a simple life. He took pleasure in fishing in Canada, tinkering with machinery around the house, his garden, an avid Patriots fan, and the fall season where he was always amazed at the ever-changing colors.

He was the beloved husband of Marie Berardinelli-Allain. Loving father of Gabriella Marie Berardinelli-Allain. Dear brother of Claudette Robichaud, Lorretta Basterache, Gerard Allain, Ann-Marie Huser, Maria Clasby, Desire Allain, and the late Monique Coutier and Catherine Roberts. Caring brother-in-law of Ernesto A. Berardinelli (James G. Meacham) and John G. Berardinelli. Jean is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday November 9 from 1 PM to 3 PM in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown followed by Funeral Service at 3 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A private interment at St. Patrick Cemetery in Watertown will take place later.
