Katherine Theresa (Lania) Grossi

Of Waltham, Mar. 5. Beloved mother of the late John Grossi of Waltham and sister of the late A. Richard Lania and his wife Mary M. Lania of Lexington. Daughter of the late Anthony Charles and Alice (DeLuca) Lania of Watertown.  Granddaughter of the late Natale and Caterina Lania of Belmont.  Kathy is survived by her devoted cousin of Joseph J. Lania of Arlington and by her nephews Scott Lania and his wife Doreen of Concord, NH; Brian Lania of Lincoln, RI; Mark Lania and his wife Mary of Westwood; Gregg Lania and his partner Karen of Watertown; and Erik Lania and his wife Diane of Walpole. 

Many people will remember Kathy from the Watertown Savings Bank, as a communicant at St Luke's Parish in Belmont playing the guitar at Mass, and from the Retreat Center in Waltham.   She had a great love for her family, her heritage and was known for her sweet personality and as the keeper of the family artichoke recipe.   

A Funeral Mass will be held On Friday, March 14th at 10:00 AM in St Lukes, at 132 Lexington St, Belmont, MA 02478. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours at the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, WATERTOWN will be on Thursday March 13th, from 4:00 -7:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
