Obituary

Leo passed away suddenly but peacefully in his beloved Provincetown at the age of 55.  He can now join his father Leo and his beloved aunt Marie in peace.  He is survived by his devoted mother, Irene, and his loving partner, Jimmy.  He will be fondly remembered by his Louden and Francis relatives.  He will be greatly missed by his many very close friends from Boston, Provincetown, Toronto, and elsewhere – the people who mattered to him most in his life.  He loved you all very much for the joy, happiness, comfort, and support you brought to his life.  Leo’s wit, self-deprecating humor, vocal abilities, and his amazing laugh, will never be forgotten.

In addition to being a devoted partner, son, nephew, and friend to so many, Leo was a graduate of Watertown High School and Tuft’s University (1990).  Leo was proud of his humble origins, his first jobs being at Coolidge Hardware and the Oakley Country Club.  He rose to become a popular and very successful partner at Winter Wyman and later a Vice President at its successor, Planet Technology.  He had recently celebrated his 30th anniversary in the recruiting field, becoming one of the most accomplished and award-winning recruiters in Winter Wyman’s history.  He was extremely well known in the software/quality assurance space in the Boston area, and his clients and the candidates he represented adored and respected him immensely.

Visitation will be from  10 to 11:30 AM on Friday morning, May 12, 2023 at the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, followed by a brief service, with interment thereafter at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Watertown.  Another celebration of life will be held in Provincetown at a later date.  Until then, take a moment to hug someone you love, to call someone you miss, or to take a walk to remember someone you’ve lost.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the Human Rights Campaign, the Soup Kitchen in Provincetown, or a charity of your choice.
