Lisa Marie (Pierce) Foley

Lisa Marie (Pierce) Foley, passed away on May 1st, 2022, at the age of 55. Lisa was born in Melrose, a longtime resident of Groveland and Boston, the daughter of Richard Pierce (and his wife Joyce) and the late Maryann (Fasciano) Pierce. Loving and devoted wife of Francis S. “Fran” Foley of 26 years, and loving mother of Paige M. Foley and Sean M. Foley. Dear sister of Gregg Pierce (and his wife Kim) of Haverhill and Keith Pierce (and his wife Heather) of West Newbury, beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, and guardian of her adorable Havanese dog, Chief.

Lisa attended Pentucket Regional High School and after graduation, she began her aviation career with Eastern Airlines. Later, she became a private flight attendant for the Boston Celtics, and this connection to the sports world would lead her to meet Fran.

Lisa and Fran quickly started a great life together and brought their two children into the world all while working in college football and the NFL. After taking some time to be a stay-at-home mother, she returned to work by joining Virgin America. Most recently, Lisa returned to the skies and was awarded her honorary pilot’s license while simultaneously serving as the Talent Acquisition Specialist for DeepSig, Inc.

Her whole life was about being a selfless mother, a devoted wife, and a steadfast friend. Lisa lived her life to provide the best experience for her children and husband. She adored them, and that feeling was wholeheartedly reciprocated.

Lisa was a shining light with her incredibly fun personality that radiated throughout her life. She took time out from her career to care for her mother who was battling cancer – always by her side until she passed in 1991.

At her core, she was a woman of fierce loyalty, character, and warmth. Countless friends loved her positive enthusiasm, and her love for life. She will be deeply missed by all.

Her lessons, guidance, and blessings will be with us forever.

Visiting hours are 4-7 PM on Friday, May 6th at the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, located at 270 Main St. Watertown. Funeral from the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown Saturday May 7, at 9 AM followed by Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 770 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
