Margaret J. (McBurnie) Donnelly

A Funeral Mass for Margaret J. (McBurnie) Donnelly will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2023, at 10 AM in the Church of St. Patrick, Watertown.

Mrs. Donnelly was born in Somerville to the late Frank J. & Mary F. (Wall) McBurnie. Margaret passed away Monday November 20, 2023.  She was 94.

Peg was a proud graduate of Somerville High School, and an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Div. 14 in Watertown, the Canadian Club, & the Pennhills Garden Club, Pittsburgh. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, playing bridge with friends, crossword puzzles, bowling, gardening, and spending time with her beloved family.  Peg loved the time she got to spend with her sisters on the Cape, family meant everything to her.

She was the beloved wife of the late Leo J. Donnelly. Loving mother of Stephen Donnelly & his wife Donna of Truro, Mark Donnelly & his wife Rosemary of Bolton, and Beth Ackerman & her husband Robert of Andover. Dear sister of the late Eileen Wright, Ernest McBurnie, & Marion Jansen. Loving grandmother of Emma Donnelly, Leo Ackerman, & Mark Ackerman. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & her beloved “daughter” Ginny Campbell.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 28, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St. Watertown at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery.
