Margaret H. Vizakis

Margaret H. “Marge” Vizakis affectionally known as “Yaya” passed away at the age of 94 at her home in Newton surrounded by her loving family on January 2, 2023. Marge was born on December 4, 1928, in Everett, Massachusetts. She was the beloved wife of the late John Vizakis whom she met at Raytheon Technologies where they worked together for many years.  Yaya also worked as a produce manager for the Star Market Corporation.

She leaves behind her three children Linda (Vizakis) Deagle and her husband Mike Deagle, John Vizakis and his wife Debbie, & James Vizakis. In addition to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Yaya enjoyed spending time with her family, sharing stories around the round table, completing puzzles, and was an avid Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots fan.  Yaya was an amazing pianist who had the gift to play the piano by ear.

Private funeral services for Marge will be held at Newton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Care Dimensions 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102 Danvers MA 01923 or at www.caredimensions.org
