Marilyn Pinnone Obituary

Marilyn Pinnone, 66, of Auburndale, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marilyn was born in Boston to the late Robert Pinnone, Sr. and Sarah (Jones) Pinnone. She grew up in Watertown, MA, but later moved to Newton where she was a devoted employee for the City of Newton for 33 years (recently retired). She spent much of her life caring for the needs of others since her heart was full of love. Being the eldest sibling of seven, she often helped with the raising and upbringing of her younger family members. She sacrificed much of her life to the service of others, and was a testimony to her family in many ways.

Marilyn loved to laugh, and her smile could brighten any room. The thing she loved the most in life was spending time with her family, especially with her twin sister, Marlene. Their bond and connection will forever remain. She also found great enjoyment and pleasure in the natural beauty of the earth, even in the smallest of things such as colorful flowers or birds that would catch her eye.

She is survived by her sisters, Marlene Pinnone of Auburndale, Barbara Faherty & her husband Richard of Watertown, Dee Dee Jackman of Connecticut, and her nieces & nephews, Peter, Keith, Dylan, Daisy, Samuel, Elijah, Elliana, Jennifer, and Melanie. She was preceded in death by three of her siblings: Lisa, Donna, and Robert Pinnone, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St. Newton, MA on Friday, October 17th at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Community Services, 160 Wells Ave., Newton, MA 02459.
