Natalie Colella Obituary

A funeral service for Natalie M. (Sinatra) Colella will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Redeemer Fellowship Church, 111 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown.

Natalie was born in Boston to the late James Vincent & Gertrude (MacDonald) Sinatra.  She passed away at her home in Watertown on June 10, 2026. She was 85.

Natalie grew up in East Boston and Revere as part of a large, close-knit family. From an early age, she enjoyed dancing, shopping, and spending time with loved ones. She worked for several years at the legendary Filene’s Basement, where her outgoing personality and warm spirit made a lasting impression on those around her.

In a chance encounter at a Revere nightclub, Natalie met the love of her life, Uldo. Their meeting began a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and family. After their marriage, Natalie volunteered and later worked at Charlesgate Manor in Watertown as an Assistant Activities Director, bringing joy and companionship to many residents. She also worked in a physician’s office, where her kindness and dedication were equally appreciated. She was also a dedicated volunteer with Operation American Soldier, helping to send care packages to deployed members of the United States Armed Forces as a small token of gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

Family was at the center of Natalie’s life. She was blessed with a large extended family of nieces and nephews—far too many to name individually—but each held a special place in her heart. She took a genuine interest in their lives and remained a loving and supportive presence to all of them. After eight years of marriage, her greatest blessing came with the arrival of her son, Matthew—an answered prayer.

Natalie had a remarkable love of history and an extraordinary memory. She was a walking encyclopedia when it came to classic movies and actors, often recalling not only an actor’s name but the films they appeared in and countless fascinating details from decades past. Her knowledge never ceased to amaze family and friends.  When she was not sharing her knowledge, Natalie enjoyed spending summer weekends at the campground and looked forward to vacations at the beach in Marshfield, where she found joy in the sun, sand, and time spent with loved ones.

An avid reader, Natalie began each day with her well-worn Bible. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life, sustaining her through life's joys, challenges, and sorrows. For many years, she opened her home to others and led Bible studies, sharing her love of Scripture and encouraging others in their faith journey. She also taught Sunday School, helping to nurture and inspire the faith of younger generations. It was her unwavering faith that gave her strength throughout her life and remained with her until her final day on earth.

Natalie will be remembered for her devotion to family, her sharp mind, her generous heart, and the steadfast faith that guided her throughout her life. Her love and influence will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

She was the beloved wife of the late Uldo T. Colella.  Loving mother of Matthew F. Colella of Watertown.  Dear sister of the late Joseph, Carl, Paul, Robert, & Vincent, Jr. Sinatra, Dolores Livoti, Frances Vasquez, and Joan Beatrice. Caring sister-in-law of Rita Colella of Watertown and the late Ugo & Santo Colella. Natalie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & nephews, and many dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 18 at 11:00 AM in the Redeemer Fellowship Church, 111 Mt. Auburn St. Watertown. Visitation will take place from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the church prior to the service. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
