Natalie (Stanley) Duffy of Weston and Hyannis passed away on August 20, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Duffy. Devoted mother of Robert L. Duffy, Jr., and his wife Tara H. Duffy of Wayland; Peter D. Duffy and his wife Susan Lewis of Sherborn; and William J. Duffy and his wife Nichole C. Duffy of Wayland. Grandmother to seven grandchildren Robert L. Duffy, III, of Waltham; Joanna L. Oxley, of Uxbridge; Katherine Natalie Duffy of Cambridge; Haley M. Duffy and Peter D. Duffy, Jr., both of Sherborn; and Liam C. Duffy and Cole J. Duffy, both of Wayland.
Dear sister of the late Dolors O’Keefe and Paul J. O’Keefe of Watertown, the late Elizabeth and Bill LaPointe of CA, and the late Starcy and Charles Sullivan of Littleton, NH.
Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Natalie loved her family and thought often of them. She believed it was important to support each other during difficult times and would want to acknowledge those who pre-deceased her, particularly her nieces and nephews, namely: the late Lisa J. O’Keefe and Carl A. O’Keefe, both of Watertown; the late Philip A. O’Keefe of Waltham; the late Charles Sullivan of Florida; the late Mark Sullivan of Hawaii; the late John Michael Shriber of Martha’s Vineyard; and the late Jeanne Shriber of North Carolina.
For decades, Natalie hosted a Christmas Eve “open house” party for friends and family. It was a massive undertaking that, inevitably, came together at the last minute. Natalie and her late husband Bob spent fifty summers at the Yachtsman Condominiums on Lewis Bay in Hyannis and were members of the Hyannis Yacht Club for thirty-three years. The Cape was a time to spend with family and friends, whether it was sitting on the beach for Fourth of July fireworks, preparing meals for her kids and grandkids, or going to the Windjammer with friends. Natalie was a gracious and generous host who welcomed friends and family for extended visits. Hosting nephews Paul (PJ) and Philip O’Keefe for the summer were some of her fondest memories.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Maplewood in Weston, the memory care unit, for caring for Natalie and her late husband, Bob.
Natalie was a devout Catholic, a proud member of St. Julia’s Church in Weston, and a generous supporter of many charities.
