Clifford, Paul F. of Lincoln, July 18, 2021, formerly of Belmont and Watertown. Beloved husband of E. Paulyne Tunnell. Loving father of Lawrence P. Clifford of Maine, Gail A. Clifford of Concord, Robert J. Clifford of Boston, Kathryn M. Mooney of Newton, and Joan M. Clifford of South Hadley. Devoted grandfather of Laine Caracappa, Kevin and Kyle Clifford, and Rose Mooney. Great grandfather to Charlotte and Bennett Caracappa. Brother of the late Marjorie McNicholas, Madeline Owen, Virginia White, John Clifford, and Charles Clifford.
Born in Watertown, MA to Clarence and Mary (Connors) Clifford, Paul attended St. Patrick’s High School, graduating in 1948. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served during the late Korean conflict. Paul subsequently graduated from Northeastern University, class of 1957, and began a long and distinguished career as a certified public accountant and financial planner – a field in which he worked until the age of 86. Paul’s interests included bowling and golfing. He was an avid reader of U.S. history, and enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod with his children. Paul was a true gentleman who touched the hearts of many.
A visitation time will be held in Bigelow Chapel at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge Friday July 23 from 10 – 11:30 am followed by a funeral service at 11:45 am. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Paul’s name to the charity of your choice.
