Paul Kelly Obituary

A Funeral Mass for Paul Francis Kelly will be celebrated on Monday May 20, 2019 at 9:00 am, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

 

A son of the late Edward P. Kelly and Ann C. (Morley) Kelly, Paul passed away Wednesday morning after a long illness.  He was 84.

 

Paul was born in Waltham and was a longtime resident of Watertown before moving to Scituate in the early 2000s.  He graduated from St. Patrick High School in Watertown and after high school he join the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1956.  On June 11, 1955 Paul married the love of his life, Mary L. Donovan at St. Patrick Church in Watertown.

 

Paul and Mary raised their six children: Patricia, Donna, Paul, Maureen, Daniel, and Michael in Watertown.  He worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 34 years.  Paul was also a past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 14 and past president of the Middlesex County Hibernians.

 

He was beloved husband of Mary L. (Donovan) Kelly. Devoted father of Patricia K. Diliberto & her husband John of Watertown, Donna M. McManus & her husband Kevin of Watertown, Paul F. Kelly & his wife Deborah of Watertown, Maureen E. Kelly & her partner Paul Trayers of Scituate, Daniel E. Kelly & his wife Kathleen of Billerica and the late Michael V. Kelly. Dear brother of the late Edward J. Kelly. Loving grandfather of Shannon, Caila, Jack, Heather, Daniel, Meghan, Desiree, Kevin, Michael, Kelly, and Devyn.  Loving great-grandfather of Caden, Liam, Elvis, Violet, Billy, Olivia, Kevin, and James Michael.

 

Funeral from the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown Monday May 20, 2019, at 8 AM followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

 

Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 PM.

 

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery Watertown.
