Robert T. "Bob" Donnelly

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church Watertown for Robert T. “Bob” Donnelly.

Mr. Donnelly was a son of the late Joseph & Margaret (Babin) Donnelly. Bob passed away on Sunday morning December 19, 2021 at the age of 90.

He was born in Boston and raised in Watertown and was a proud graduate of Watertown High School. Mr. Donnelly worked as a postal clerk for over 30 years at the United States Postal Service. After his thirty years in the post office, Bob took on various different careers. He was a crossing guard at the Watertown Middle School, the head of ticketing for Boston College sports events, and worked at the Boston College sports complex. He was also a proud member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 14.

Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He served from 1951 to 1955 and was stationed at Charleston Air Station in Maine.

He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia G. (Meehan) Donnelly. Loving father of Marie E. Donnelly of Charleston, SC, Anne Donnelly Bowler of Watertown, Edward R. Donnelly & his wife Sharon of Milford and Katherine P. Workman & her husband David of Andover. Loving grandfather of Brittany Whitt & Sean Bowler, Megan, Stephen, Leo & Brooke Donnelly, Erin & Benjamin Workman. Dear brother of the late Mary M. Mahoney, Joseph B., Paul W., Francis T., James E. and Leo J. Donnelly. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral from the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown Thursday December 23, 2021, at 9 AM followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited masks are required for the visitation and mass. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM.

Interment Cambridge Cemetery.
