A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose L. (Lapietro) Capone will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church, Watertown.
Rose was born in Cambridge to the late Anthony J. & Rose L. (DiGiacomandrea) Lapietro. She passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025 at her home in Tarpon Springs, FL.
Rose devoted her life to God and her family and was a loving and nurturing presence to all who knew her. She grew up in Watertown. She shared a beautiful marriage with her husband, Adolfo Capone, and together they built a family rooted in love, strength, and tradition.
Rose loved to bring beauty and laughter to the home and to her loved ones. She had a passion for gardening, flowers, decorating, and cooking. She found much joy in spending time with her grandchildren, creating beautiful memories that will be treasured. She was also a lifelong lover of music, especially the songs of Rod Stewart, Rolling Stones, & Carole King.
She owned and operated a popular Italian eatery in downtown Boston where she loved to get to know her loyal customers, befriending many.
She was the beloved wife of Adolfo Capone. Loving mother of Christina Capone & her husband Josef Ewert of Florida, Amanda Capone & her husband Omar Emran of Waltham, and Mark Capone & his partner Lauren Taylor of Washington. Dear sister of Robert J. Lapietro of Florida, Jean Lapietro of Maine and the late Joseph D. Lapietro. Loving grandmother of Josef, Bennett, Anthony, Alexander, Nadia, Aliya, Vincent, and Tamaara. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces & nephews.
Rose will be remembered for her laughter, beautiful smile, warmth, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Funeral from the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown Saturday October 4, at 9 AM followed by Funeral in the Church of St. Patrick 212 Main St., Watertown at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 PM. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.
