TIMOTHY FRANCIS MURPHY, of Watertown (12/19/32-3/11/23), previously of West Roxbury and Roxbury. Beloved husband of Mina Gibb. Son of Julia (Keating) of Caherciveen, Co. Kerry, Ireland, and Daniel Murphy of Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
Beloved brother of the late Catherine (Allen) Maloney of Norwood, the late Mary (Eugene) Fannin of Kettering, OH, and the late Daniel (June Kerkorian) Murphy of Mansfield, MA. Dear brother of Patricia (Thomas) Hogan of Westwood, Thomas (Isabel Sherba) Murphy of Dorchester, and Margaret Murphy of Yardley, PA. Also survived by many dear Maloney, Fannin, Murphy and Hogan nieces, nephews, and their children.
Tim graduated from Mission High School in Boston, Stonehill College and Suffolk Law School.
Tim was employed at Boston City Hall during Mayor John F. Collins’ administration in the Office of Neighborhood Improvement, after which he was appointed to Brighton Court where he was a Probation Officer and First Assistant Clerk Magistrate. He retired 4/12/02.
Tim will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, sharp intelligence, and deep kindness.
Funeral from the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown Thursday March 16, at 9 AM followed by Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
