Virginia Marie Bradley 1927-2020

San Jose, CA

Virginia Marie Bradley passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on August 13, 2020. Born on February 9, 1927 in Watertown, MA, Virginia was one of five children of Bernard E. and Mary Kennedy Bradley (Holyoke). She is pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers Bernard and Robert.

Virginia is survived by her brother Richard J. of Saratoga, CA, her sister Cynthia Champagne of Houston, Texas, her sister-in-law Gail Bradley of Westford, MA, thirteen nieces and nephews and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

Known for her quick smile as “Aunt Ginny”, Virginia was a special aunt and cheerleader of her family’s accomplishments in life through the years.

A devoted Catholic. member of St. Patrick’s Church in Watertown and graduate of Watertown High School, Virginia worked for New England Telephone Company in customer service, retiring early to care for her mother Mary until her death in Somerville, MA. Not a big fan of the snowy, cold New England weather, Virginia moved west to sunny California in 1995 at the invitation of her niece Penny. She was a long-term resident of Belmont Village in San Jose where she made many friends with her cheerful disposition and genuine interest in others.

A funeral mass will be held at 10AM on Thursday August 20th at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Main St. in Watertown, MA. Virginia will be interred at St. Patrick’s Cemetery with her parents Mary and Bernard, and rests in eternal peace with our Lord.
