ASH, Walter Henry of Belmont, passed away on May 14, 2022, after a lengthy illness. He was 82. Beloved son of the late Walter Hayes Ash & Catherine Regina (Carney) Ash. Dear brother of Marilyn J. Melville & her late husband Michael J. of Natick. Loving uncle of Michael J. Melville, Jr & his wife Paula of Boylston and Michelle J. Tynan & her husband Glen of South Grafton. Caring great-uncle of Shane Michael & Delaney Catherine Tynan and Michael Antonio & Sophia Maria Melville.
Retired employee of Honeywell.
Longtime coach, player, & lover of hockey in Belmont, Watertown, Cambridge, & Woburn.
A visitation will be held Thursday May 19, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 770 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment Belmont Cemetery.
